With 15 premier research facilities across the United States, Fieldwork connects consumers with opportunities to share their opinions on the products, services, and trends that shape everyday life.

Their Los Angeles–Orange County office is currently seeking consumers nationwide to participate in an exciting new study about streaming habits. This research will explore how people choose streaming platforms, decide what to watch, discover new shows or movies, and evaluate their overall satisfaction with streaming services. Your feedback will help content providers and streaming companies improve their offerings and user experiences.

This project offers two participation options:

  1. 90-minute online study – Open to consumers nationwide, this option allows you to participate from the comfort of your home via webcam. Participants in the online format will receive a $150 incentive as a thank-you for their time and insights.
  2. In-person study in Irvine, CA – Residents of Irvine, California and the surrounding area may be invited to attend an in-person version of the study at Fieldwork’s Orange County facility. Those who participate in person will receive a $175 incentive.

Study Dates: Sessions will take place between August 21st and August 24th, 2025, with various time slots available to suit different schedules. Fieldwork is committed to flexibility, offering both day and evening options so participants can select a time that works best.

What to Expect:
During the study, you will join a guided conversation with a professional market research moderator. Topics may include your favorite streaming platforms, how you decide which subscriptions to keep or cancel, your viewing frequency, content discovery methods, and preferences for user interfaces, pricing, and original programming. The session will be engaging and conversational—there are no “right” or “wrong” answers, only your honest opinions.

Who Should Apply:

  • Adults 18+ living in the United States
  • Regular users of streaming platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Max, Apple TV+, or others
  • Comfortable participating in either online webcam discussions or in-person group settings (if located in Irvine, CA)

This is a confidential research study—all responses will be used for research purposes only and will not be shared with streaming providers in a way that identifies you personally. Fieldwork values participants’ privacy and ensures that your involvement is secure and anonymous.
